Mini Biography
Isabelle Adriani is an Italian actress, but also a fairy tale writer and a journalist. She has a Phd in History and speaks fluently English, French, German and Spanish. She starred in more than 20 movies in Italy in the last 4 years. She published 8 books of fairy tales and 2 historical novels (to be soon released 'The true story of Cinderella). Isabelle was born in Perugia, Italy, to 2 neurologists Dr Fiammetta Marchionni and Prof Franco Federici known for researches on Brain diseases, with the name of Federica Isabelle Adriani Federici. She has a sister named Alexandra. Her parents sent her abroad to study in several countries such as : England, Germany, France, America and Argentina, so she's fluent in English, French, German and Spanish. Isabelle showed a deep passion for fairy tales and for acting at a very young age and began to write fables and to star in many plays at school. She began her acting career at 7 dreaming of
Broadway. She was already a compulsive performer, acting for her family's amusement at Christmas. After studying classical ballet for seven years at Royal ballet of Dancing and attending acting schools in her home town, she went to Rome to study opera singing with Edda Dell'Orso (Oscar prize Ennio Morricone's chorister). At 19 she published her first book of Fairy Tales 'The Blue Butterfly' and met Susan Strasberg who believed in her and in her passion for acting and advised her to move to the United States. She took her PHD in History at the University of Perugia at 22 and wrote her final works on the DNA of Fairy Tales. In the meantime she won a scholarship and attended C.U.T. Theatre Drama University School in Perugia.
She was so ready to come to the US and to follow her dream to be an actress in Hollywood, unfortunately in 2002 her father had a terrible accident and ended up on a wheel chair for several years, her mother had a cancer and was sick until 2007. In those years Isabelle decided to give up her dreams and to become a journalist to take care of her family. She took a Master in journalism and worked for the major TV channels in Italy such as Rai and Mediaset and also for Newspaper magazines such as 'Il Messaggero' and 'La Nazione'. In 2007 her mother had surgery and healed, her father began to walk again and went back to teach Neurology and Theory of Perception at the University of Perugia, so she could finally went back to her dreams! In only 4 years she starred in more than 30 movies in Italy and published 9 books of Fairy Tales. The tenth book, 'The True Story of Cinderella', an historical novel, will be now released in Italy and in September 2012 in the United States. After several years of researches she found the real story of Cinderella, born 2600 years ago, she was a Greek slave but became queen of Egypt (Edimond)
In the last months she came several times in the US, and perform for Al Pacino who was enchanted by her talent to sing and whistle opera, and performed for Woody Allen at New Year's Eve. She also whistled for the soundtrack of 'Baharia', directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. The multi-talented actress is now moving to the United States to finally follow her dream to work in America. In the last 4 years she played in some of the most successful movies in Italy such as 'What a beautiful Day' (52 millions of euros, very unusual for the Italian market), 'Men against Women'(15 millions euros) and 'The First Beautiful Thing'also presented in the US. She has an agreement with Medusa Films to play lead roles for other 3 movies. She also appears briefly in 'The American' with George Clooney and in 'Twice Born' with Penelope Cruz to be released soon. She presents the daily Tv Show 'Accadde Oggi' in Canale 5 Mediaset from September to June. She just finished to work as lead in the movie: 'Il tempo delle Mimose'.
She did the voice over for 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' and sang the Rihanna song: 'Help' in the Italian version of the cartoon. XX Century Fox has chosen her also for the Voice Over of the new lead in 'ICE AGE 4 coming out soon.
